HEALTH PROGRAMS

At Naisula Women Organization, we are committed to improving the health, dignity, and well-being of women and girls in marginalized communities. Our comprehensive Health Program addresses critical health challenges through education, prevention, empowerment, and community engagement.

We focus on reproductive health, disease prevention, harmful traditional practices, and menstrual health management to ensure women and girls live healthy, safe, and empowered lives.

👉 Family Planning & Reproductive Health

We provide education and awareness on:

  • Modern family planning methods
  • Birth spacing and maternal health
  • Prevention of early and unintended pregnancies
  • Safe motherhood practices

Our goal is to empower women and couples to make informed decisions about their reproductive health and future.

👉 HIV Awareness and Prevention

Naisula works to reduce HIV infections and stigma by:

  • Providing HIV education and awareness sessions
  • Promoting voluntary testing and counseling
  • Encouraging treatment adherence
  • Addressing myths and misconceptions

👉 Ending Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)

FGM remains a serious health and human rights issue in many communities. Our interventions include:

  • Community education on the health risks of FGM
  • Advocacy for girls’ rights and protection
  • Engaging traditional leaders and parents
  • Supporting girls at risk

We work toward eliminating FGM and promoting safe, healthy transitions into adulthood.

👉 Cervical Cancer Awareness and Prevention

Cervical cancer is preventable and treatable when detected early. Our program focuses on:

  • Educating women about cervical cancer risks
  • Promoting regular screening
  • Encouraging early medical care
  • Reducing stigma around reproductive health services

👉 School Health Clubs

We establish and support Health Clubs in primary and secondary schools to:

  • Educate students on puberty and reproductive health
  • Promote hygiene and sanitation
  • Build self-confidence among girls
  • Provide safe spaces for discussion

Through peer education and mentorship, students become health ambassadors in their schools and communities.

👉 Reusable Sanitary Pads Initiative

To address menstrual poverty and reduce school absenteeism among girls, we:

  • Provide menstrual health education
  • Distribute reusable sanitary pads
  • Train girls on proper use and hygiene
  • Support local production for economic empowerment

This initiative promotes dignity, environmental sustainability, and continuous school attendance.

Our Impact

Through our Health Program, we aim to:
  • Reduce preventable diseases
  • Increase school attendance for girls
  • Protect girls from harmful practices
  • Improve maternal and reproductive health
  • Build informed and resilient communities
At Naisula Women Organization, we believe that when women and girls are healthy, communities thrive.
